In this article we will explain how to make most 7 important ranks in your server with custom resource pack like these pictures 
Before talking about making custom PNG, JPG we need to use a plugin for ranks in your server
in this tutorial we will use LuckPerms :

I think it is the best plugin for ranks and if you use another plugin it will be the same way
there isn't much difference just do the same edits on the plugin that you are using step by step .
Also you need a chat plugin you can use ChatEx.

1 - Setup & Edit LuckPerms ( Important )

You should to choose your server operator , I'm using Bukkit 1.20.4
Note : it works from (1.8.8 to latest version for real time latest version is 1.20.4 )
Put it in your plugins folder and ( Run or Restart ) the server .
Join the server and write /lp editor
It will send to you a once use specific link to edit your server
Open it , you will see this screen in front of you
in the left side we will add groups by click on " + " sign next to GROUP section
Note : Default Rank is a rank that player will have when joining your server
Well , this tutorial has two parts ( 1 - LuckPerms , 2 - Resource pack )
there is a small sync between them ....
we need to define the PNG / JPG ranks pictures by symbols
I suggest these symbols to you and if you want you can use others.
NOTE : use symbols that players don't know how to write it.

We will start with default rank we need to set " prefix.#.ッ &7"
# is the number of prefix priority i will let it 1 " prefix.1.ッ &7"
&7 is the gray color for player name you can choose it like you want
NOTES :
let space between Prefix ッ and &7
You need to set weight for rank " weight.1 "
And I will replace default with player by " displayname.player "

After write the permissions from the bottom , click on Add
Maybe you will have this issue , so just remove &7 and click on prefix permission and write it manually
It should be like this
Same steps for the rest ranks ...
but we will edit the priority "Weight " and " Prefix " Symbols
